- Kamilla Singh is the chair of Fiji Canada Business Association since its conception. Kamilla is a media personality in the Fijian Community, She is the Producer and Director of Asian Pulse TV which is on air for past 22 year, recently she started another show called Kamilla Singh Show on Shaw multicultural Channel in BC and Alberta. Recently she joined Radio Fiji Mirchi Fiji’s only 24 radio station as a talk host on Ammne Sammne on every Sundays. Kamilla is the founder and past president of Fiji Professional Women’s Network, she has worked in the Women’s movement for past 25 years, as a counsellor, and as a victim support worker, she is an activist advocate and human rights defender. She has own practice, providing support for women and children who are fleeing domestic violence.. She was the chair of BC Human Rights coalition. She has been organizing anti racism events since 2009 on March 21, International day for the Elimination of all forms of Racial discrimination. In 2006 Vancouver Sun named her as 100 most influential people in BC. Kamilla also started to celebrated Fiji’s Independence day since 2008 under the banner of Asian Pulse TV and for past 4 years in partnership with Fiji Disaster Relief Society. She is the chair of Fiji Disaster Relief Society. Her other job is working as women’s support worker at a Women’s Shelter. Kamilla Singh is very approachable and always willing to hep out in anyway she can.
