Fiji 50th Independence – Day on October 10, 2020.
Fiji gained independence from British rule in October 10, 1970, the British took control of the Islands as the Colony of Fiji on October 10, 1874. Fiji has over 300 Islands and over 540 islets. Out of 300 islands only 100 are inhabited. The capital is Suva in on the southeast coast of the largest Islands, Viti Levu, and the other major island is Vanua Levu. There are various celebrations taking place this Saturday at public parks.
